Who else loves the look of super soft light on a personâs face? đ
There is certainly a time and place for hard shadows but generally my default is to go as big and soft as possible.
In this case our location had curtains made out of an unbleached muslin covering a large window. We decided to use those to our advantage and push an Aputure 300X through a 4x4 frame of 250 and the curtains. My Litemat Plus 2L was used inside to help carry the light and wrap more across this shirtless gentlemanâs face.
The end result was a heavily diffused light with creamy roll off. (đ¨âđł insert cooking pun here) We also used a 4x4 floppy on the camera side for just a little bit more shape.
